Open Wheel Modified Results:   We started our season well.  We had a great set up from last year and Aaron knows this car's handling characteristics well.  We turned the fastest laps we've ever run in practice--13.89 and a couple of 13.93's.
There is no qualifying in this class.  They use a four week average formula to determine your start and since we hadn't been there the first three weeks of the season, we started 23rd.
Despite starting last, we were able to make use of the incredible new engine from Vaseleniuck Engine Development to move past cars in front of us.  We also missed accidents and finally ended up taking home the 8th place prize money.  We passed 14 cars in the 20 lap race.  We are VERY happy with that and look forward to the next race.  Our only regret is that the race wasn't a few laps longer!!

Late Model Results:   Considering we had no time for shaking the "bugs" out on our new limited late model, we are pretty happy with the results.   Aaron wasn't released medically for driving till this week, so we had no seat time in the new car prior to race day.  We didn't know if the engine was running well at race speeds or if we had the right set up.
We didn't make the first practice because the engine was missing.  The second practice we still had the miss and also discovered we had too much gear.  After gear changes and more engine work we headed out. The two qualifying laps were the first two laps that the car was really pushed hard.  We qualified 16th of the 21 cars there.
In the race, the miss was still a problem and gradually got worse.  We finished 15th, despite having to leave the race in lap 35.  We didn't want to chance hurting the engine by running it.  The set up was good and only needs minor tweaking.  We now have a month to test and tune before the next late model race.
